The Butterfly Lovers Violin Concertos (<<梁山伯與祝英台>>小提琴協奏曲)

The Butterfly Lovers' Violin Concerto (<<梁山伯與祝英台>>小提琴協奏曲) is arguably the most widely known classical piece in the history of China.

The concerto was written by He Zhan-hao and Chen Gang in 1959 while they were students of the Shanghai Conservatory. The use of Chinese traditional folk music and Yue opera elements with classical instruments perfectly illustrates an amalgamation of Chinese and Western traditions.

Arrangements for chamber ensemble, and for violin and piano can also be found in our collection, customised to accommodate different performance needs. These are all published by our parent company HNH International Limited,

Versions for Erhu, Guzheng or Gaohu and Chinese Orchestra are also available for hire upon request. Contact us for further details.
